Once again we are telling our stories from the east coast! These next few pictures are from P.E.I. and New Brunswick, our third and fourth provinces out of the five.
In P.E.I. we stayed in the Cavendish area in two cottages that are situated on a farm. It was a beautiful place to be with great cottages! We stayed there Friday and Saturday night.

| And, of course, since it was a farm there were lots of cats to play with! They were awfully cute. |
Our full day (Saturday) in P.E.I. was spent mostly at Anne of Green Gables! At least for the girls in our group. The Green Gables, The Haunted Woods, and Lover's Lane were owned by the author's relatives. L.M. Montgomery. the author, spent many hours walking about, since she only lived a few minutes away! One of us (Kaitlyn), who has naturally red hair, dressed up as Anne and got quite a few pictures taken of her by other tourists! The rest of us girls wore a hat or put our hair in braids, to help get into the theme!

| Lover's Lane. It was a beautiful little walk! |
Right close to Green Gables is a cemetery where L.M. Montgomery is buried.

After a great day spent in Cavendish, we got on the road again the next day bound for New Bruswick! We went over the Confederation Bridge from Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick. It was such a long bridge, measuring 13km! It was a really cool sensation to drive for that long period of time over the ocean.
 |
| Yup, super long. |
Once we got to New Brunswick, we drove for a bit until we got to the Hopewell Park by the Bay of Fundy. It was amazing! It's kind of hard to explain the place we went, but looking at the pictures explains a lot. And also, the tide comes in quite quickly and you can see on the rocks how far the water comes up. You really wouldn't want to get stuck down there.

| Some of the caverns you'll find (reminds us of the entrance to the paths of the dead). |
 |
| One of the many caves where you need a flashlight to see anything! |
 |
| It was very astounding! I kept on thinking how I am walking on the bottom of the ocean. When high tide comes, it would be over my head. |
It has been such an awesome time in Cavendish and in New Brunswick! I'm sorry to have to leave New Brunswick tomorrow already, but I'm glad to spend what little time we had in beautiful New Brunswick. Tomorrow we will be driving to Quebec City which will be our last stop on our journey. It has been so much fun writing about our adventures with Sarah's, and a few of my dad's, beautiful pictures. That's all for today!
Wow that so cool! I can't believe that's the ocean floor either! And those kittens are adorable! Looks like you are having a great time!

Yes it was really cool! Ya we've been having an awesome time :)
DeleteAnother really beautiful series of pics! That one kitten reminds me so much of Marshall when he was a baby. Looking forward to the next leg!
ReplyDeleteThanks, we're glad you like them! That kitten especially liked attention... he/she was very cute. Except for when he sneezed on Madeline! We're going to try to post something today. It'll probably be a long one because of all the days we've missed!
DeleteProbably a "he"...about 98% of orange cats are male! (or something like that)
