It's another post! Hey, we're doing pretty good!
So it's been another great two days in Newfoundland! Here's some more pictures
the wonderful Sarah took and put up!
Thursday morning we left St. John's and made our way to Trinity! It was a rainy day, so this is a foggy picture taken of Trinity.
We then went up to a lighthouse right by Trinity and spent a while climbing the rocks and taking in the beautiful sights of the Atlantic!
Today was quite sunny and warm so we were able to do some sightseeing in Trinity without getting too wet. We were able to go into St. Paul's Anglican Church. It was so beautiful inside and out! It had some gorgeous stained glass windows!
Next we went to the Puffin Site! Of course this late in the season we didn't see any Puffins, but it was lots of fun climbing about.
We also spent some time on the beach! It is so cool to see the strength of the water crashing upon the rocks and seeing the spray of the water flying.
After that we went to Bonavista! We first went to the lighthouse and, once more, clambered about on the rocks! We also go to make a inukshook!
We also got a tour of the old lighthouse, which was awesome! It was so cool to see where the lighthouse keeper and his family lived!
This was also the place were John Cabot (Giovanni Caboto) supposedly landed in 1497! There is a statue of him to mark the spot where he landed!
After that we stopped at Miflin's Tea, a great place for tea and and food! We got our lunch there, which was delicious, and then headed on our way to Sandy Cove, where we are staying the night!
So far it has been an awesome trip! I can't
believe it's only been three full days! So much more to come! I am so glad I got
to make this trip with my family! I think that's all for now, so I'll update you
in, hopefully, two days!
TTFN (Ta ta for now)!
